§ 22-283. Errors.

Should any change or error in the records be discovered or result in any member or beneficiary receiving from the retirement system more or less than such member would have been entitled to receive had the records been correct, the board shall have the power to correct the error and, as far as possible, to adjust the payment in such a manner that the actuarial equivalent of the benefits to which the member or beneficiary was correctly entitled shall be paid.
