§ 25-248. Definitions
For the purposes of the article, certain terms shall have the meaning ascribed to them in this section, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise.
Ramping means the loading and unloading of passengers to and from vehicles within a valet parking zone.
Storage means the parking of vehicles in a parking garage or lot for a limited time (less than 12 hours excluding hotel operations) by a valet parking operator.
Traffic includes pedestrians, motor vehicles, and other conveyances either singly or together while using any street or roadway for purposes of travel.
Traffic control devices means any sign, signal, or device placed or erected for the purpose of regulating, warning or guiding traffic.
Traffic lane means any portion of a public street or roadway designed and lawfully used for vehicular travel.
Valet parking license means the license required by this article.
Valet parking operator means any person operating a valet parking service on public property.
Valet parking service means the ramping and storage of vehicles by a valet parking operator.
Valet parking zone means any portion of a public right-of-way which is approved by the City for the ramping of vehicles associated with a valet parking service.
