§ 7-95. Congested marine areas.

  • The POD shall have the power to declare certain waterways or portions of waterways where, by virtue of their size, shape, or normal traffic levels, hazards may be created to persons or property unless certain limitations are placed upon the use of the area. The POD, upon creating such an area, may prohibit or regulate the following types of conduct: waterskiing or towing of any other device or any other regulations of boating conduct which are appropriate within the context of the size, shape, location or normal traffic flow of the area. Any such regulations as stated above shall be posted by signs in the area designated. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vessel in violation of such posted regulations.
