§ 9-41. Authority.

(a)

This article has been enacted pursuant to the Home Rule powers of the City and authority of F.S. Ch. 162, as a supplemental method of enforcing certain sections of the codes and ordinances of the City and is enacted to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.

(b)

Nothing in this article shall be construed to prohibit the City from enforcing its codes and ordinances by any other means including, but not limited to: a summons; a notice to appear in the county or circuit court; an arrest; an action before the Code Enforcement Board; a civil action for injunctive relief; a stop work order, a demolition order, or any other method of enforcement.
